Sage SalesLogix To Float on Amazon Cloud
11-May-2010
Cloud-based platforms are a boon to small-midsized businesses because it gives affordable, scalable access to enterprise-competitive tools that grow and evolve as they do. With the economy beginning to grow, scalability and ease of entry is the key for them to take advantage of new opportunities.
With that in mind Sage North America will give its more than three million American and Canadian SMBs first access to Sage SalesLogix CRM Suite on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) infrastructure. The cloud-based, on-demand version of Sage SalesLogix will be available in North America the first half of 2010, after which it will be expanded to other regions worldwide.
Sage CRM Solutions business partners are now implementing Sage SalesLogix in the cloud for select North American customers. Leveraging Amazon EC2, Sage can provide customers with flexible deployment and user access, as well as customer data ownership, customer control over the timing of upgrades, and IT management and hardware cost benefits.
Sage SalesLogix provides a complete view of customer interactions across sales, marketing, customer service and support so teams can collaborate and respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer inquiries and sales opportunities. Powerful process automation capabilities and a highly customizable platform help businesses achieve stronger sales results. Users can access Sage SalesLogix on-premises and on-demand solutions with desktop, Web, and mobile interfaces.
“The Sage SalesLogix CRM Suite on Amazon EC2 helps reduce IT requirements for small and midsized businesses and accelerates their CRM implementations with complete upgrade control and extensive customization capabilities,” said Joe Bergera, executive vice president and global general manager for Sage CRM Solutions. “Amazon Web Services (News - Alert) allows us to ensure our customers' data is secure and enables integration with on-premises applications as well as the cloud-based services we are beginning to offer.”
“We are excited to see Sage SalesLogix deployed on Amazon Web Services,” said Terry Wise, director of business development for Amazon Web Services. “The variable usage requirements of global sales professionals make SalesLogix a perfect application for Amazon EC2's resizable, pay-as-you-go, cloud computing platform. Businesses can scale their SalesLogix solution up and down based on the exact needs of their user community, resulting in a tailored, secure and lower cost customer experience.”
